flight notification to aircraft position information received viaADS-B.
IFRPick-up:
Apilot procedurewherebyaflight operating to the IFR in
ClassG airspace changes toVFRupon enteringClass E airspacewhilst
awaiting an airways clearance. IFRPick-up is limited to FL180 and
below.
Identification:
The situationwhichexistswhen theposition indication
of aparticular aircraft is seenon a situationdisplayandpositively
identifiedbyATC.
IndependentParallelApproaches:
Simultaneous approaches to
parallel or near-parallel instrument runwayswhere radar separation
minimabetweenaircraft on adjacent extended runway centre-lines are
not prescribed. The two types of independent approaches are:
• Independent Visual Approaches - duringwhich apilot is
responsible for separation from theaircraft on theother approach;
and
• ILSPRMApproaches - duringwhich separationbetweenaircraft
on adjacent ILS courses ismaintainedusingPRM.
