An aircraft shall not be taxied anywhere on an aerodrome by a person other

than a licensed pilotwhose licence is endorsed for theparticular type of

aircraft concerned or a person approved byCASA in accordancewith the

terms and conditions of the approval.

PILOTSATCONTROLS (CAR 225)

Thepilot in commandmust ensure that one pilot is at the controls of an

aircraft from the time atwhich the engineor engines is or are started prior to

a flight until the engine or engines is or are stopped after the termination of

a flight.

When two ormore pilots are required to be onboard an aircraft, the pilot

in commandmust ensure that two pilots remain at the controls at all times

when the aircraft is taking off, landing andduring turbulent conditions.

DUALCONTROLS (CAR 226)

A control seat of an aircraft equippedwith fully or partially functioningdual

controls shall not be occupied in flight except by a person:

• who holds an appropriate pilot licence in respect of the type of aircraft and

the class of operations inwhich the aircraft is flown; or

• who is a student pilot assigned for instruction in the aircraft; or

• who is authorised byCASA.
