ProceduralService:

Termused to indicate that informationderived

from anATS surveillance system is not required for theprovisionof

ATS.

ProcedureAltitude/Height:

A specifiedaltitude/height flownat or

above theminimum altitude/height, and established toaccommodate

a stabiliseddescent at aprescribeddescent gradient/angle in the

intermediate/final approach segment.

ProhibitedArea:

An airspaceof defineddimensions, above the land

areas or territorial waters of aState, withinwhich theflight of aircraft

is prohibited. Designation is appropriateonly for reasons of Defence.

QNHAltimeterSetting:

That pressure settingwhich, whenplaced

on thepressure setting sub-scaleof a sensitivealtimeter of an

aircraft located at the referencepoint of anaerodrome, will cause the

altimeter to indicate the vertical displacement of the referencepoint

abovemean sea level.

RadioHeight:

The radio altimeter readingwhich is equivalent to the

OCA adjusted for terrain/obstacleprofile.

RadioNavigationService:

A serviceprovidingguidance information

or positiondata for the efficient and safeoperationof aircraft

supportedbyoneormore radionavigation aids.

Radar/ADS-BInformationService(RIS):

Anon-request service

provided to assist pilots of VFRflights, withinATS surveillance system

coverage inClass E andClassGairspace, toavoidother aircraft or to

assist innavigation.

Rapid-ExitTaxiway:

A taxiway connected toa runwayat anacute

angleanddesigned toallow landing aeroplanes to turnoff at high

relative speeds.

ReceiverAutonomous IntegrityMonitoring (RAIM):

A system

wherebyan airborneGPS receiver/processor autonomouslymonitors

the integrityof thenavigation signals fromGPS satellites.

ReducedVerticalSeparationMinimum (RVSM):

Thevertical

separationminimumof 1000 ft between FL290and FL410 inclusive.

Repetitive FlightPlan:

Aflight plan referring toa series of frequently

recurring, regularlyoperated individual flightswith identical basic

definitions
