Aprocedurewhereby an aircraft lands and

takes offwithout coming to a stop.

Track:

Theprojectionon the earth’s surfaceof thepathof an aircraft,

thedirectionofwhichpathat anypoint is usually expressed in

degrees fromNorth (true,magnetic or grid).

TransitionAltitude:

The altitudeat or belowwhich the vertical

positionof an aircraft is controlledby reference toaltitudes.

Transition Layer:

The airspacebetween the transitionaltitude and
