Change toTower Frequency.
Aircraft should change to tower frequency:
• in the holding bay, or
• close to, or at, theholding point of thenominated runway, when ready for
take-off.
At ClassD aerodromes atwhich parallel runway operations are inprogress,
pilotsmust identify the departure runwaywhen reporting ready. For example:
‘...(call-sign) READY, RUNWAYRIGHT’.
Apilot in commandmust not holdon the runway in use unlessATC has
authorised.
DepartureReport -ClassDControl Zones.
InClassD control zones (where a
procedural service is provided), the pilot of an IFR flightmust report after take
off:
• departure time (if applicable);
• tracking information;
• the last assigned altitude; and
• the estimate for the first en route reportingpoint.
