Unless otherwise instructedbyATC, a pilot in commandmust remainwithin

5 nmof the departure aerodrome to establish flight on the departure track as

soon as practicable after take-off.

FREQUENCYCHANGE

When frequencychange instructionsare issued immediatelypreceding the take-

off clearance, pilotsmust change frequencyautomatically fromTower assoonas

practicableafter take-off, preferablywithin1nmof becomingairborne.

In all other situations, pilotsof departing aircraft are required to remainon

Tower frequencyuntil specific frequency change instructions are issued.

Pilots cangenerallyexpect an instruction to contactDeparturesControl prior

to reaching2000 ft and should,when advised, effect the change as soon as

possible.

When contactingAreaControl, pilotsmust advise the last assigned level and,

if notmaintaining the assigned level, the level maintainingor last vacated

level.

ENROUTE

In non-ATS surveillanceCTA, pilotsmust reportmaintaining an assigned level.
