provided to aerodrome traffic. The service is aprocedural-based service.

Theproceduresoutlined in this chapter shouldbe read in conjunctionwith

theprocedures for controlled airspace. There are someminor differences to

procedures inClassD airspace.

An air traffic control servicewill beprovided.

Except in anemergency, a clearance is required for all flights inClassD

airspace.

WhenClassC andD airspace adjoin laterally, flights at the commonboundary

will begiven services applicable toClassD airspace.

Consult ERSA, NOTAM and theVisual PilotGuide for procedures specific to a

ClassD aerodrome.

ClassD aerodromeshave ahigh trafficdensity that includes awide varietyof

aircraft types andperformance capabilities. Typical usersof these aerodromes

includeCHTR, PVT, AWK andRPT aircraft, with amixof circuit training in

addition to arrivals anddepartures. Pilots shouldensure theymaintain agood
