TOWEREDAERODROMES - LIGHTING

Aerodrome lighting at an aerodromewhere a control tower is operatingwill

be activated byATC as necessary. Pilots requiring aerodrome lightingoutside

the control tower’s published hours should usePAL, if available, ormake

appropriate arrangementswithATC. If ATChas already ceased duty, requests

should bedirected to the local aerodrome operator. Confirmation shouldbe

obtained that requests for lightingwill be satisfied.

A pilot havingmade arrangementswithATC for night lightingmust notify any

change in requirements.

NON-TOWEREDAERODROMES - LIGHTING

Aerodrome lighting at non-towered aerodromes shouldbe arranged direct

with the aerodromeoperator, or by usingPAL facilities, if available.

ERSA identifies locationswhere selected runway lighting is routinely left

switched onduring the hours of darkness.
