Hi Bretto

With the Met exam, know your operational part really well, and you may think the start of the test is relatively easy (which it was) so go through that efficiently reading the questions, as you know how they can trip you up. The questions toward the end of the test require more time (well they did for me ;-) than those at the beginning, particularly the last ten or so.

The operational met has 2 marks per question, so make sure you read the AIP really well, and understand the difference between SIGMET, Speci etc and also that if the viz is not stated then it is 10km.

Also remember that a Cat D aerodrome requires 8 hours for met report, which was an obscure little bit of the AIP i found.

Focus on Operational Meterology understanding all of the AIP Gen 3.5 and understand the difference between INTER, TEMPO and all the cumulative effect of cloud UNDER 1500 ft, and also the OCTAS. Eg FEW plus SCT = over half of sky therefore alternate will be required.

Understand when Alternates will be required, and understand fuel requirements. Especially read this bit in BT and AIP.

Take some good notes on this lot, it helps it to sink in.
