Hi David,
Congrats on the good mark for MET mate! I was quite happy with that score...
Yeah most of those TAF questions you mentioned were the hardest I thought... As I previously said, the slopes v ranges threw me a bit. But got through it :)
I also have two more exams, Perf and Nav, which I thought may be the hardest ones, which is why I left them until last!

How have you gone with your other subjects???

Good luck with your remaining subjects.

Hi Mick
Thanks for encouragement.
Done pretty well in the others (as I said, still have Aero and Perf to do).
Thought Nav was pretty easy and predictable (98%) .... KDR indicated the Q I got wrong ... I knew which one it would be as I thought the Q was ambiguous and there were 2 good answers (obviously chose the wrong on .. to do with FIR frequency at some remote airfield (ERSA lookup)) ... still reckon I was right though (I don't think CASA really worries too much about what I think).
Anyway, back to study ... good luck with your exams .....

Just completed the MET Practice Exam, sit the real thing Monday. 1st of the 7.
Bit disappointed in my result - only a 72%. -
Been consistently around 87% average through out study regime on the books / revisions exams.
Will do another practice exam tomorrow.

Hoping to hit 85% or above for the real thing.
Good to hear 85's from others ...
Wording of a few got me, also my ARFOR/TAF decodes need some work...
Probably didn't help loading 3 tonne of concrete into a skip bin by hand this morning prior... knackered.

time to go revise...

Cheers.
Tom.

Three Tonne of concrete!! Mate you're a hero.

If you've been consistantly scoring in the 80s for the other exams I think you can put this one down to a 'bad hair day'. The exam will definitely contain a fair bit of meteorological message interpretation, so make sure you really get to know the ARFOR/TAFs in the CASA booklet . It's a big help that the exam questions are based on the very same AFROR/TAFs, so if you study them carefully and take them apart before you attempt the CASA exam you're half way there.

Good luck

Cheers Bob. Thanks for the sage advice.
About to tear those ARFORS/TAF's apart right now.

Hero... yah - couple of other words are springing to mind as well... (i.e., idiot, numbnut etc)

Completed another practice cyber exam yesterday - 87% !! ;)
Was looking good going into today's exam.
Scrapped through with 73%...
Had plenty of time - checked everything twice.. bit disappointed - amount of time put in, and varying outcomes across practice tests and the real thing... anyway. A pass is a pass.

Giving myself a couple of days before hitting the books again.

Piece of cake! Just tag (10 in AIP and 5 in ERSA) your docs properly with what you don't think you can remember. I found it the easiest exam I think. Hope you do too, good luck
