If you are studying for your BAK or PPL exams and need some help, please post your question here. Someone on the forum is bound to help you as soon as they can.
Refer to the TOWNSVILLE WAC.
At 2342 UTC you set course over ROLLINGSTONE (approximately 25 nm NW TOWNSVILLE) to track direct to SPRING CREEK (1838S 14433E). HDG 270(M) is maintained until you pinpoint your position over Mt. Lyall (south of Camel Creek Landing Area) at 0003 UTC. The HDG(M) required to track direct to SPRING CREEK from this position is closest to ? Deg M.
Im still confused about how to do this question. Please help and explain a little bit. Many thanks!!
Simply plot Rollingstone to Spring Creek on the WAC chart. How far is Mt. Lyall OFF from your intended track? The HDG change required is TRACK ERROR plus CLOSING ANGLE. As you have been given a heading maintained, you can calculate new HDG required.
