Hi all,
I have been working my way through the CPL PPL NAV e-book.
I have got to a point of not understanding the solution as described on P23,
concerning GS out and GS home.
As there was no start TAS in the given components for the PNR E6B
calculation when introducing the wind component to find the two GS
needed, ie out and home, how did the two GS of 159kts and 198kts get found?

Excellent Stuart.
That would have been my next query. I thought I was completely missing a calculation step because I could not arrive at any of your answers in the Answer section at Sectn 17 for PNR.
Hopefully I can progress through PNR without difficulty.
Thank you for such fast response.
