Hello,

I was working through the rather complex example of finding the daylight hours for a flight from Port Headland to Adelaide.
The very last part where you subtract EOD Adelaide from BOD Port Headland, I can't understand how the answer is 09h53m

I get 10h53m Daylight hours for flight time.

Day Hour Min
30 08 11 EOD Adelaide
29 22 18 BOD Port Headland
--- 09 53

There's 10 hours between 08h on 30th to 22h on the 29th???

I.e. 08 - 22 + 24 = 10

Please advise.

Thanks,

Azhar

To allow you to subtract 53 from 11, you had to move one hour across from 08. that makes it 07. So when you subtract the hours it becomes 07 minus 22.

So move a day across from 30 and the hours become 31 - 22 = 9hr

Then 29 - 29 = 0 days.
