Hi All,

As the title states - should I read both books?

I'm in the process of starting at a flight school in the coming weeks to obtain my PPL.

Thanks.

It will be necessary to study both RPL and PPL. The CASA PPL exam fields questions from both books. Subject areas like Aerodynamics, Engines and Human Performance are covered in RPL but not PPL. I would be a smart move to do the RPL first and sit your flying school's RPL (BAK) exam before going on to PPL which covers mostly Navigation, Meteorology and adds more to Air Law and Performance.
