Airspeed created the topic: Allowed materials - Pencils, Rulers etc

On previous exams, I've seen that pencils, ruler etc are given to us, but for the performance exam, I'd like to have my more accurate ruler and pencil.

I've heard other say we are not allowed to take our own pencils etc, but the Invigilators handbook, in part 11.1.3, states -
"Standard Allowable Material
For all subjects, Candidates are permitted to have writing implements; comprising of two normal pens, 2 pencils, a basic pencil sharpener, an eraser and a ruler."

So by there rules we are allowed to take our own pencil, ruler, eraser etc.

Anyone ever done this?

According to CASA's own guide the answer is no but you can try your luck with the Invigilator they can only say no.
