MissSoph created the topic: Wind and CP position

Just needed some clarification with the blessed CP...
so the study book provided a statement that if a wind exists, the ETP will always move upwind from the halfway point... so if you got this question...
What effect does wind have on CP... and you could choose
1. Cp is independent of wind component
2. Cp not affected by wind provided you have enough fuel to return home 3. Cp moves further from departure aerodrome as tailwind component increases
4. Cp moves closer to destination aerodrome as Head wind component increases

4 is the only answer the CP always moves upwind, 3 is backwards, 1 and 2 are incorrect statements
