jukzizy created the topic: Echo landing weight chart

Refer to echo landing weight chart figure 13:

Given the following information

Run-way: 06/24 LDA- 910 M
15/33 LDA- 850 M
Pressure height: 800 ft
Shade temperature= +30*C
Slope - Level for all run-way
W/V - 330*M/15KTS

Find the heaviest landing weight?
I got 2610 KG

Some comments, first up

(a) I would endeavour to be a little more accurate in paralleling the chart grids - small angular errors can add up to significant final answer errors.

(b) likewise, one needs to be reasonably particular and pedantic when it comes to interpolating for intermediate values

(c) did you check weights for the cross runway (subject to crosswind limits) ? Not suggested which runway will be the best at this point, just asking the question. In the exam, one needs to make sure that all options are investigated to establish the final answer.
