I am not sure if I have missed something but q2 and q3 both expect more than the main tanks can hold (272kg) as the answer.

Q2 68+224=292kg
Q3 141+164=305kg

I take it this is correct and I suppose the extra fuel will go into the aux tanks and burned first.

Correct?

Yes. Once you have put the calculated ballast fuel into the main tanks, any additional fuel required for the flight goes into the main tanks as well. If that is more than the main tanks can hold, put the remainder in the auxilliary tanks.

Even though the auxilliary fuel will move the CofG aft, the full fuel in the mains has already moved it well forward, so there will be no problem with an aft CofG.
