Hi team from Bob Tait and all the other flying enthusiasts
My name is Jens and I'm living and studying in Adelaide. I started my flying studies last year with Bruce Hartwig flying school at Parafield Airport.
The decision to take on flying was a big thing for me because I always believed that flying is just for very special and very smart people. I never thought that I would fit in with that bunch of special people but here I am.
My first couple of lessons I always was so nervous when I was driving to the Airport.
Today I believe flying is contagious. I am just finishing off my area solo flights before I continue with navigation flights.
Its a very special feeling to fly an Aircraft solo!
I like my studies and I love the flying but because I work full time next to my flying training I progress quite slowly and I do all my theory by myself at home. I have nobody to talk to or ask when I have a question beside my Instructor.
I hope I will get a lot out of this new Forum.
I'm thinking when the time comes and I have to prepare for my CPL exams I will join your course because I miss sitting in a classroom together with other Students. I already use your books and I really like the structure and how easy they are to read.
I want to hear one of your flying stories Bob. I believe to be a good Pilot it needs more than just the CASA syllabus.
Now I have to come to an end because I have to study and to work out the flight Computer.
