TAF's 3 Hour Intervals for the 4 QNH and TEMP's

Hi, I am confused and was hoping someone could help clarify the rules for the 4 Temp's and QNH's given at the end of a TAF
I have read in other material (see graphic below), that when considering the 4 QNH and TEMP numbers given in a TAF you apply 90 minutes to the first one and then 3 hours to the remaining 3, this is to account for linear interoplation I believe. However, I also read that its just HH, HH+3, HH+6 and HH+9 which indicates something different.
In other words are these ranges valid for 10.5 hours (90min/3h/3h/3h) or 12 hours (3/3/3/3), or put another way, is it correct to use 90 minutes for the first 1 of the 4
I hope I am making sense
Can someone please help clarify this for me, thanks
