IREX Validity

Aviatordan created the topic: IREX Validity

Hey Bob,

Here's an email I received from CASA re. the validity of the IREX exam credit.

"Once passed, it is valid perpetually, .i.e. if you don’t get your actual Command Instrument Rating flight test done for another 5 or so years, then it does NOT matter. However, there are some changes planned to be introduced with CASR Part 61 that may place a 5 year time limit between obtaining the pass and gaining the actual licence or rating. But until we see the final legislation implemented, I can’t say exactly what the rule will be. At the moment, there is no time limit at all."

I just thought it'd be of interest since he was talking about a new policy possibly being implemented at some point, thought I'd give you a heads up!

Cheers,

Dan :)

Thanks mate. That's interesting - I'll keep an eye out for those changes.
