Hi would anyone be able to help me understand the answer to this question?

A pilot is put under pressure from his employer to get back to base before his tour of duty expires this is an example if
a: an external threat
b: an anticipated threat
c: an environmental threat
d: a latent threat

can some one explain why the answer is d? a latent threat?

I will have a stab at it ;-)

A latent threat would mean the threat exists but is has not manifested/formed YET, but it could. The threat is that this could make the pilot stressed and may miss something during the flight due to the pressure of the time limit.

Yep, time pressures are the classic CASA example of a latent threat. See CAAP 5-59 14.1.3:
