Hi there guys,

This is probably a VERY obvious answer, however I am reading both the Bob Tait AGK textbook and the Aviation Theory Centre AGK text, and both have opposing information as to where abouts the oil filter is located in a dry sump system- and I don't want to stuff up my answer in the CASA exam.

Is the oil filter located BEFORE or AFTER the oil cooler?- I know an oil cooler is optional in a dry sump system as the oil may adequately cool in the line by the time it reaches the external oil tank.

Can somebody please give me information as to where abouts the oil filter is located in a DRY SUMP system, both WITH and WITHOUT an oil cooler?

It would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Isobel
