Minimum holding requirements

Avi8or created the topic: Minimum holding requirements

In one of the questions I have come across, it says that you are arriving at Sydney International Airport in VH-OZY at 2230 UTC on a Wednesday. You fall into an Inter period with a visibility of 4km and cloud of "SCT010"
The question asks for the minimum alternate or holding requirements.

A) 30mins
B) an alternate or 50mins
C) an alternate or 30mins
D) an alternate or 60mins

I am confused about the remarks given in the ERSA about Sydney airport, especially number 2. Does the 20 minutes or the 30 minutes holding apply to us?

Many thanks.

The traffic holding requirement is 30min for aircraft that are not capable of Precision Runway Monitoring (PRM) operations. PRM is a system of precision radar monitoring that allows simultaneous parallel runway operations and is available only to aircraft with certain equipment and crew qualifications (mainly airlines). OZY is not capable of PRM operations and therefore requires 30min traffic holding.
