G'day all,
Are there any flight planning programs around that can plan for a 152 in Aus?

Hi Colonial,

There are a few options. For iPads there are Avplan and Ozrunways both of which serve as flight planners and an approved source of charts for flight operations (but not for the exam). Both have free demos available and I suggest you try both and see which one you prefer as they are both excellent. I think there are 'droid versions available too.

For PC and Mac, there is the champagne flight planner ( www.champagnepcservices.com.au/htmldocs/flightplan2000.htm ) but I have never used it, it doesn't have chart display and I can't vouch for whether it is any good or not. They also have a demo available.

Those are the products that spring to mind but there may well be others.

Cheers,

Rich
