It's not clear to me why the answer to the below/ attached question about Appendix 5 FDP and off-duty time is correct.

My interpretation of Appendix 5 FDP and off-duty is that you:
1. Take the night off at the end of your FDP shift (12hrs)
2. Take the next day/ night (24hrs)
3. This totals 36hrs and includes 2 consecutive nights and the intervening day
How then can the answer be correct?
