Skydiving pilot as a PPL

Hi, I am studying for CPL theory component and am trying to find and answer as to whether it is permitted to be paid as a PPL flying skydivers.
You can fly skydivers with a PPL as parachuting operations are defined by CASA to be private operations, even when the pilot has a CPL and is being paid as a pilot the ops are private (no flight/duty time restrictions, no AOC required).
Therefore as a private pilot, even if you are paid the operation is still a private operation so you are still able to fly for it as I see it.
Interested to know if this is actually a corner case where you can receive compensation as a PPL.

Cheers

You cannot collect any kind of payment for your services, and you would only be able to do so if you had a CPL.
