Just took exam yesterday. There was a question that asked that when climbing to cruise at 8,500 feet , ,when should you change from local QNH to Area QNH?
Options were 1,000 agl, 3,000ft amsl, 5,000 ft amsl, 10,000ft amsl.
Any thoughts and where would I find reference to the answer?

Just found the answer! Page 24 Bob Tait CPL Book. I just remembered that "Prior to top of climb" was another option. That is the answer!
I looked at the diagram on page 24 which is close to the diagram in ERSA which is what I looked at during the exam. It wasn't clear to me what it was suggesting as to when to change. It is really only the text on page 24 near the top that gives the answer.

If I'm wrong here........Please advise me.

Thanks!
