Airmagnet24 created the topic: CTAF (AFRU) Question.
Sat the law exam on Friday. Failed. Again.
One of the questions I keep getting wrong is similar to this:
What is the appropriate frequency for YXXX (Can't remember code)?
In the ERSA it say's:
CTAF - AFRU 126.7
Which I put but apparently that's not right - I'm guessing they wanted CTAF - 126.7 which was one of the answers.
From what you have said the better answer would be "CTAF - 126.7". The ERSA entry "CTAF - AFRU XXX.X" simply means the airfield is equipped with an Automatic Frequency Response Unit which gives an automated voice identification (see AIP GEN 3.4). The appropriate frequency to use at the airfield mentioned would be the CTAF on 126.7. The term "AFRU" in not a qualifier on the frequency. It just tells you the aerodrome is AFRU equipped.
A bit picky and it would be interesting to know the other answer options.
