I’ve had a question... when doing practice exams that are not Tait’s.... but it’s asking....
landing distance performance charts assume that any reported headwind is factored down by 50%... ummm can anyone help me out :()
Oh and another one... performance landing distance assumes that the approach speed is no less than a speed not less than 30% above the stall in the landing configuration.... I’m pretty sure I understand that one... but the first bit...???

.. and takeoff charts and also for climb. Not an assumption but a Design Standard requirement.
These are forever Design Standard factors which you can find in FAR 23/25 and used to be in CAO 101.22 before that document was seen off to the bin post Ron Yates' report. For most of the light aircraft you will be involved with, the relevant requirements are in FAR 23.1587(a)(5), (c)(3), (d)(5) and (d)(8). Likewise, for the approach speed, see https://rgl.faa.gov/Regulatory_and_Guidance_Library/rgFAR.nsf/0/EBBAF486F319502886257996006CAFB2?OpenDocument
