Could i please get some clarification on this question?
In the MOS Part 91 26.16 Definitions it states " A mode C transponder is a transponder function that transmits a 4-digit octal identification code for the aircrafts pressure altitude when interrogated by an SSR"
Doesn't that mean just the aircrafts height is sent? Or do all transponders also send your position?

Various transponders have different capabilities. For civil use all give ATC an enhanced radar return which makes it easier for the air trafficker to see the target on the radar presentation.
