Hi everyone ! I just had my second attempt and my score got worse.
From the first attempt I decided to know the bob Tait book in and out to have a better chance of passing.
But NO.
I can now see that the questions in the exam is so different than the book. Maybe 55% is similar to Bob Tait but the rest forget about it.
Good tip is to look up Part 61 Manual of standards Schedule 3 ! look every single thing up and GOOGLE IT. Write it down and focus on that..
Be course Bob Tait cover covers everything but when you sit exam you be like eeeeeeh this is not what i was reading about.
I had passed my CADA exam first go, and what had supported me the most was doing the online exams that bob tait provides. The questions there are similar enough to what I got in the exam. Definitely use the Part 61 MOS, but dont rely on google in my humble opinion, rely on the books and gain your knowledge from there.

Happens on occasion. I would need to sit down with you over coffee to establish where the problems might lie. Generally, Bob's books are fine if you are looking for a basic story. He has the runs on the board when it comes to student pass rates.

The net is a wonderful resource. However, for every useful URL link you find, there are a great many which serve only to peddle old wives' tales. Unfortunately, it is very difficult to distinguish the one from the other if you don't have a grounding in the topic to start with. One trick is to stick with reputable sources, especially university physics or engineering sites. That is to say, beware the net if you are after the facts. I have to say that MANY aviation sites peddle stuff which is off the mark when it comes to techo stuff.

The thing is I believe Bob Tait books are great so far I have passed 5 exams thanks to this.
I have noticed that when you fail the first Casa exam it get harder and harder meaning questions get harder or more tricky.
The books explains certain things witch is 100% correct but in the exam they will change it.
Example : what happens when you extend full flaps?
bob Tait says : speed will reduce and you get lower AOA.
And the casa exam :
1 lower AoA.
2 increased lift/drag ratio
3 decreased lift/drag ratio and then
4 Induced drag...
Thats why I believe that for a books are good but also maybe I have to look up internet Aswell to go deeper in this be course there is a lot of questions that i noticed over time that was making no sense to me.
