Hi, I'm new to aviation. I would like to know exactly which books i need to study in order to pass my ppl exam. Is there just one exam and what's included? I found the CASA page a little difficult to follow as they seem to use a lot of acronyms that i'm not familiar with. Thanks

Hi JASE88
Welcome to the forums. The CASA PPL exam is one single exam and, for your study you will need our RPL/PPL Volume 1 and RPL/PPL Volume 2. These books are available in either hard-copy or e-text format and are available form our web page. When you have competed your study, we also have on-line practice exams to help you prepare for the CASA exam. You will also eventually need either the VFRG or the CASA/Air Services documents AIP ERSA, CAO, CAR and CASR. I suggest you ask the advice of your flying school for further guidance on the documents.

All the best with your study

Bob
