The ultimate freedom! 73% of the earth's surface is water - one giant runway!

Float endorsements available in Port Macquarie. [img] [/img]

Hey Judy - what a great photo and how lovely an area to be flying around in a Sea Plane - maybe our next holiday should be in Port Macquarie!!

Thanks heaps for sending it through.

Regards

Lee

How about a photo from the control seat on final for a water landing. That would make a great post for the 'On Finals: Your Airfields' topic....

It's actually a take-off but you could always watch it backwards I guess 😛

Great photo and video. Sea plane endorsement, now that sounds like a challenge worth doing. How many hours are required and would these hours go towards CPL hours? As I,m only down the road, (Newcastle).

Hi Craig, it certainly is a worthwhile challenge - but be careful! it is severely addictive! and yes, it does count towards your CPL hours. Most people need 7 hours for an endorsement (those ag & RAAF pilots do it in less!) When you do come up, you will need to set aside 2 or 3 days - weather permitting. Call first - 0404 684 212

No, not me I'm afraid, Judy. Wish it was though. Floatplane flying looks like a LOT of fun!

Here's the companion video to that first one. It looks a bit like the bloke was being filmed during his checkride. If he was, that's one way of really putting on the pressure
