Good afternoon,
I am just after some confirmation.
In the Casa exam, if they use the wording " Small VFR air transport aeroplane" and reference Part 135 Mos. Do I do the fuel calculations based on 45 minutes holding, and 10 percent contingency ? In Part 135 7.02 Aircraft size is not mentioned.
If it's a Part 135 (Air Transport) operation, the fuel policy is based on Part 135 para 7.02. It doesn't matter if the aircraft is 'small', 'smaller' or 'large'. So that's 45 minutes final reserve fuel and 10% contingency fuel.
Part 91 refers to what used to be called 'private' operations (other than air transport).
Part 135 refers to what used to be called 'charter' operations - now called 'air transport' operations.
See Part 91 para 19.02 Table and Part 135 para 7.02 Table (final reserve fuel and contingency fuel).
Thanks Bob, just needed confirmation.
