Please Sir can you explain the specific heat more clearly form me because I don't understand it

Imagine you were bare-foot and stepped from a grass lawn to a bitumen road at midday. The bitumen road would burn your feet because it is so hot. The grass lawn would not be so hot even thought it has been in the same sun for the same time as the bitumen road.
We say that the grass lawn has a high specific heat and the bitumen road has a low specific heat because the same amount of heat makes it hotter.
