Hi can anyone help me with the IFR requirements once you are airborne and need to divert to an alternate.
Does the alternate aerodrome weather need to above the most suitable runway minima, or above the alternate minima for the airport?
If anyone has a reference that would be very helpful, thanks.

Planning to an alternate is no different to planning to any normal destination. You must consider the alternate minima for the chosen aerodrome just as you would if it had been your intention to go there in the first place. Remember, to be suitable as an alternate, an aerodrome must not itself require an alternate [AIP ENR 58.1.2].
