Gday Bob,
I’m assuming there has been DAP amendments since the IREX book was printed.
Set 9 Q1
Canberra 35 ILS-Z in VH-OZY capable of 3.3% MAP gradient. HIAL not available. vis required to permit approach past DA is-
A) 800m B) 1.6km C) 1.5km D) 1.7km
35 ILS-Z now only has 4.4 and 2.5% MAP gradient. Vis for 2.5% with actual QNH is 1.6km, HIAL is not available so AIP states 1.5km. So would you use the most limiting in this case 1.6km? Or go with the AIP even though it’s less than the published vis?

That's correct. The never-ending stream of DAP amendments! You would go with the most limiting case - 1.6km.
