Hi Bob,

Just wondering if there is no longer a requirement to add 900m to the required visibility for a non-precision approach to a RWY that has HIAL but is not available.

This used to be the case but I just can't seem to find the reference anymore?

Thanks in advance

Jamie

Yes, it was removed for a while but now it's back again. I suspect that the original removal was a mistake and then they said 'OOPS. You will find the reference in AIP ENR 1.5 para 4.7.2.

Note that it used to say for any non-precision runway approach, but now it just says LLZ approach.

Thanks Bob.

Funny it mentions LLZ approaches as our Military TACAN (non-precision RWY) appraoches to airfield RWYs equipped with HIAL still have a visibility requirement 900m less than the non HIAL equipped RWY TACAN IAPs!
