I just wanted to confirm whether a CHTR/AWK/PVT 5700kg or less flight operating [i]in cta[/i] may in fact use a combination of 2 ADFs or 2 VORs, i.e. there is no requirement except that the combination of systems includes at least 1 VOR or ADF?

You are spot on. Unless you are using a 145/6 TSO'd RNAV, you must have two navaids if you are going to operate in CTA. That applies to PVT, AWK and CHTR not above 5700kg. In that case, the two navaids must include at least one ADF or one VOR. Therefore two ADFs or two VORs would be fine. So would one ADF and one VOR. Also one ADF and one GPS or one VOR and one GPS would fit the bill........

How do you tell to which TSO a specific RNAV is maintained? Would it just be listed in the flight manual?
