Hi,
1. Is Katherine/Tindal the same as Tindal?

2. LSAT is 2700. What is the lowest Cruising Alt if you descend due ice? While the lowest alt is 2700 I assumed that with the word cruising in the the question it was asking with ref to the table of cruising levels? But I got it wrong. Can you confirm.

Thanks,

Heff

Yes,Tindal is now called Katherine/Tindal

In an emergency, an IFR pilot may descend to cruise at any level providing he/she notifies ATS and gives way to any conflicting traffic. See AIP ENR 1.7 para 3.2.1b.

In practice this would not be considered appropriate unless the severity of the icing was such that it was significantly affecting the performance of the aircraft e.g. an emergency.
