Hey Bob,

Here's an email I received from CASA re. the validity of the IREX exam credit.

[i]"Once passed, it is valid perpetually, .i.e. if you don’t get your actual Command Instrument Rating flight test done for another 5 or so years, then it does NOT matter. However, there are some changes planned to be introduced with CASR Part 61 that may place a 5 year time limit between obtaining the pass and gaining the actual licence or rating. But until we see the final legislation implemented, I can’t say exactly what the rule will be. At the moment, there is no time limit at all."[/i]

I just thought it'd be of interest since he was talking about a new policy possibly being implemented at some point, thought I'd give you a heads up!
