Shouldn't answer [b] say a 'left' downwind for runway 23?
Answer [a] still puts you with a tailwind
Answer [b] [b] right downwind contravenes normal circuit direction
Answer [c] No, as you should fly the missed approach from the missed approach point (at the WLG NDB)
Answer [d] Seems a good answer with what's available.
I chose [d] but it's incorrect. Furthermore, the answer on page 336 states you cannot circle to the South East of the strip but the chart advises you could, but not beyond 3nm.
Would it not be better to position for a left base runway 23 by using this area?
Actually if the conditions are below VMC (visibility below 5km) there is no requirement to comply with the normal circuit direction. so answer (b) would work. I agree with your comment that, if you stayed withing the 3nm boundary, answer (d) would also be OK.
