As a matter of interest what do most people do with the $700 worth of books and documents that are required for the exam but you will never need again??!
Are you refering to the CAR CASR CAO's ? if you are you can use our extract that you can download here
https://www.bobtait.com.au/extracts it will save you a lot of money.
Cheers
Actually,no.
DAP west. $158
DAP east. $165
AIP. $199.95
ERSA. $37.95
ERCs. $60
TACs. $60
I know that's a pain in the pocket, but I'm afraid there is no way out of it. You cannot have access to the online documents in the exam, so you will need the hard-copy versions. If you know anyone who can help, maybe you could borrow some of them for the day. They must be up to date though.
Bob
It's OK Bob. I really didn't expect any sympathy!
What a waste of paper, though!
I purchased mine in May without amendments and set my goal to pass the exam before November (next update)
That way you can cut cost more than half, then in reality youi will either download pubs for free or use one of EFB's..
Many thanks for the tip.
Hi Stuart, Apologies in advance, I'm sure this will turn out to be a dumb question.... I downloaded the extracts from your link and I could see CAOs and the CASR, but I can't se the CARs - Does it just not have a divider page and I am not looking closely enough?
Thanks for all the help so far.
Cheers, Karl.
My understanding is that you can bring a folder with extracts containing any law reference that may help you. BT extract addresses standard references relevant to IREX, however as I'm going through the prep questions, I've already printed and appended CASA EX93/18, CAAP 234-1 as they are not explained in the AIP.
