in q1, you have just given the heading of 175, but you havent given the track,and at time 0045 ADF 1 indicates 183R, would like to know how you get the T of 178, if this taken from the drift first, then we use the H A T trick?

you have to work out track at 0045 like this....
At 0045,
H is 175
A is +3 (adf is 3Deg more than 180)
T is therefore 175+3 = 178.
