Hi all,
I have a question that I don't really understand from the IREX book. Its question number 10 on page 187. Basically it asks 'who would you contact if you descended to 8000ft enroute to YMML in terms of getting an airways clearance'
Could someone please explain why the answer would be [d] - 122.4 Mhz
Cheers
It all relates back to Q 6
- Flight plan from Cooma to Melb
Q6 - answer a - Appropriate ERC route - YCOM - v 20 - ELW (now TEMIS) - V169 - YMML
Q7 - answer a - Taxi report to Melb centre 119.4 on ground at Cooma (see ERSA)
Q8 - answer c - 5 nm from Cooma established on departure track
Q9 - answer b - enter CTA cruising at A100 - 45 DME Melbourne - see TAC3
Q10 - answer d - Melb Centre 122.4 - your track V169 is in the Melb Centre 122.4 FIR area - see TAC3
cheers
