Hello Bob, Richard. FYI.
I noticed that the section [b]relays and solenoids [/b]has the following sentence just before the diagram 4.14
[i]"This removes the need for dangerous high tension leads to be brought into the cockpit by allowing...."[/i] [b]END OF QUOTE[/b].

Sorry you have a version wihout the complete text. In the latest edition the text reads:
"This removes the need for dangerous high tension leads to be brought into the cockpit by allowing the pilot to switch on the heavy circuit remotely. Most light aircraft use relays to switch on the main battery power and to operate the starter motor."
The E-Text already has the correction but I've added it to the [url= http://www.bobtait.com.au/books/errata/108-cpl-general-knowledge-errata ]CPL GK book errata page[/url] in case anyone else is affected by this. Thanks for the heads-up!
