Regarding questions of this nature there are some questions along the lines

you are taking off form a runway 2800 m what is the earliest you can take off following a preceeding aircraft of same weight 1500kg as yourself..

THe answers are the options given in VFGR and the answer to the question from the options was 600m as this was the earlies of all options but where does the 1800 m rule come in if one can take off after the preceeding aircraft has crossed the upwind end of the runway or the other aircraft is 600m beyond your proposed lift off point?

Kind regards

Ravi Mahajani

G'day Ravi

The 1800m becomes relevant when the preceding aircraft is heavier than 2000kg to help mitigate wake turbulence
