I was just thinking, does the 2 year window to finish all 7 CPL exams start when I pass my first exam or when i attempt my first exam?

Cheers.

Just looking on the CASA website, it only say's that all 7 need to have been passed within a 2 year period.

So I'm assuming that it will count from your first exam attempt, whether you've passed or failed.

Good question but my understanding is it is taken from the first pass and not the first attempt. All subjects need to be passed inside the 2 year window otherwise the following applies:

If at the end of two years, a candidate has not passed all subjects within their bundle, then the status of a pass achieved two years prior to their latest pass will change to an EXPIRED PASS and must be passed again.

If the first attempt was a fail, then it couldn't be counted as the first pass in the exam bundle.

Cheers,

Rich
