An air craft is parked on a strip with the engine stopped. If the elevation of the strip is 2000 ft above mean sea level, what would the manifold pressure gauge be expected to read?
This question come from AGK final test no#1
please can you explain more further how to calculate that if there's any formular for it?

manifold pressure drops about 1" per 1,000 feet

as for working it out have a look at this page https://www.mide.com/pages/air-pressure-at-altitude-calculator

Cheers
